Gas Oven Control Board with CSA approval BW-TK081

Basic information

This gas oven controller is applied to gas oven. The design consists of two GND electrodes which can spark at the same time, two separated flame sensors and one solenoid valve. CSA certification is requested.The rated operating voltage is 120V and sparking rate is 60Hz.

Functional description

With the oven being connected to power supplies, the control system can detect automatically if the flame sensor circuit and valve circuit are in good condition . The sparking won’t happen once the failure is detected in either of the circuits.

After the automatic detection is passed, the controller system will start sparking and turn on the gas valve. Sparking will stop once flame is detected. Then the whole oven will be in operation. In the operation, the flame is sensed all the time. If without flame being sensed, a total of 3 sparking attempts shall be allowed and the interval of each sparking is 12±2s.

There are two burners for oven and the oven will be in operation with the flame being detected in either of the two burners. Without flame being detected from both burners, the controller will turn off the gas valve within 2s. The sparking will begin after 12s and no more sparking after total 3 flameouts.

In the oven operation, simulated no flame signal is released every minute to detect the status of flame sensing circuit which will improve the security of end users. Furthermore,the flame will be sensed by watch dog chip and the main chip at the same time. The gas valve will be controlled by these two chip as well.

The oven using this controller has been approved by CSA certification per the standard of IEC60730-2-5.
