Elbows, suitable for connection at pipe turns.

In pipeline engineering, elbows are pipe fittings that change the direction of the pipeline.

According to the angle, there are three most commonly used ones: 45° and 90°180°. In addition, according to engineering needs, it also includes other abnormal angle elbows such as 60°. The elbow materials are cast iron, stainless steel, alloy steel, malleable cast iron, carbon steel, non-ferrous metals and plastics.

The ways to connect with the pipe are: direct welding flange connection, threaded connection and socket connection, etc. According to the production process, it can be divided into: welding elbow, stamping elbow, push elbow, casting elbow, butt welding elbow, etc. Other names are: 90 degree elbow, right angle bend, etc.

The description of the nominal diameter of the elbow: the nominal diameter can be directly expressed by a numerical value. The outer diameter is divided into two series, and the series code is followed by the nominal diameter code. For example, the code 100A refers to the nominal diameter 100 and the outer diameter is A series:

50II refers to the nominal diameter of 50 and the outer diameter of the series Il; 40GZ refers to the nominal diameter of 40, the outer diameter of the metric series: 3/4 refers to the nominal diameter or the outer diameter of the pipe is 3/4 inches.

Code description of elbow manufacturing standard

Use the first two letters of the standard code as the code of the standard. The code names are all SH, and so on.

At present, most of the national standards for pipe fittings and elbows have been in line with international standards. Our company uses international standards as much as possible in the piping design to promote the standardization, serialization and generalization of the pipe fitting industry.
